Some sources describe human beings as God’s most magnificent creation. As living organisms, humans have abilities such as thinking, reasoning, and logic, and these qualities distinguish them from other living creatures in nature. Humans establish a connection between emotions and thoughts, add meaning to ideas, and raise consciousness and awareness. The ability to be a righteous person is a real virtue. That is why being able to say “People First” requires virtue, consciousness, and awareness.

For the Yeşim Group, “People First” goes beyond a mere specific description and expresses a set of values that are engraved in the DNA of the organization. "People First", which is an important part of our corporate culture and has a multi-layered meaning, is above all a piece of advice, a perspective, a legacy. As a company that has continually renewed itself and improved its product line since its establishment in 1983 and has become a strategic and indispensable production partner of global brands, the first phrase in our constitution is: “People First”.

When the late Şükrü Şankaya, one of the founders of Yeşim, entered business life, his father’s advice was: “Never forget that those who work with you are human beings and that it is your responsibility to treat them well”, and this formed the basis of the “People First” approach at Yeşim. The concept of “People First” also appeared in the form of a company magazine in 1997. Our magazine, which focused on instilling the corporate culture in the first years, achieved a wider range of content over time.

One of the most important values that make people human is their “record-keeping” characteristic. Mankind has had the chance to develop its civilization by transporting its memory, which constitutes all of its current experience, to the future, and has made great progress in this field.

We are now on a new path towards keeping Yeşim’s corporate memory alive in accordance with our new corporate identity and deepening it further in the light of our “People First” philosophy.
