‘People First in Different Geographies’ Project Expands in Egypt
The ‘People First in Different Geographies’ project, carried out in cooperation with Yeşim Group and Bursa Contemporary Education and Culture Foundation (ÇEKVAK), continues to raise awareness among young people in Türkiye and Egypt on volunteering, active citizenship and sustainable development. Within the scope of the project, the 10th Ramadan High School students were physically brought together for the first time with the launch event organized in Cairo. While visiting Yeşim Group's production facilities in Egypt, the students had the opportunity to experience their theoretical knowledge in the field through trainings and social responsibility activities.
The project, which was initiated in Bursa five years ago and continued through ÇEKVAK for two years, was taken to an international dimension for the first time this year. Within the scope of the programme, which will continue for one academic year, students are raising awareness in line with the ‘United Nations Sustainable Development Goals’ and participating in volunteering activities. Young people who successfully complete the trainings will be entitled to receive a certificate at the end of the term.
