Strong Emphasis on Gender Equality by Yeşim Group
Yeşim Group once again emphasized its commitment to gender equality with a seminar on “Contribution to Social Transformation: Harassment and Violence Awareness”, once again emphasized its commitment to gender equality. Trainer Olcayto Ezgin, who works in the field of gender equality, took part as a speaker in the event attended by approximately 120 people. Making the opening speech, Dilek Cesur, Corporate Communications Director of Yeşim Group, stated that they have adopted gender equality as one of the core values of the company and that they continue their awareness raising efforts not only within the company but also with suppliers and the public. Cesur emphasized that the seminar was a concrete example of cooperation and determination in this field.
Taking pioneering steps in the field of gender equality, Yeşim Group supports its employees with the “Equality at Home nad Work” project carried out in cooperation with the Mor Salkım Women's Solidarity Association, and takes an active stance on this issue with the mechanisms it has developed against violence against women. In addition, Yeşim Group is one of the founding members of the “Business Against Domestic Violence Network (BADV)” supported by TÜSİAD, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Sabancı Foundation, and assumes a leadership role in efforts to combat gender equality and violence against women in Türkiye.
