Young volunteers' certificate excitement

Volunteer students of the "People First at Different Geographies" project, implemented by Yeşim Group to raise awareness of volunteerism and social responsibility among young people, received their certificates at the closing event held at Yeşim Academy.

This year, students from Şükrü Şankaya Anatolian High School, Private 3 Mart Ulviye - Ziya Gökalp Özer Anatolian High School and Private 3 Mart Halil Güleç Science High School successfully completed the project period.

The 2023-2024 academic year of the "People First at Every Geographies" project, which was shaped by the initiative of Yeşim Group and coordinated by Bursa Contemporary Education and Culture Foundation (ÇEKVAK), has ended. A total of 67 volunteer students have participated in the project this year.

With the "People First in Every Geography" project, we aim to combine the philanthropic approach of the late Şükrü Şankaya, one of our company founders, with social responsibility and volunteerism awareness, and to provide young people in high school with a lifelong sustainable sense of responsibility. In 2019, we launched the "People First: We Support Work Done from the Heart for Generations" at Şükrü Şankaya Anatolian High School in 2019, the social responsibility project was included in the education program as a course in 3 high schools in its second year.

Our project, which was a finalist in the "Social Impact" category of the 2022 Sustainable Business Awards, continues on its way in Egypt and Türkiye under the name of "People First at Different Geographies" by expanding its sphere of influence to the international level in 2023. In the project, for which we provide funding support as Lacoste Foundation and Yeşim, theoretical and practical volunteering trainings are given to students under the consultancy of the Bursa Contemporary Education and Culture Foundation (ÇEKVAK).

We congratulate this year's successful participants and the certificates they received, and we aim to inspire many more young volunteers with our "People First" philosophy.
