Düz Boya Wins the Şükrü Şankaya Friendship Tournament
The Şükrü Şankaya Friendship Tournament, traditionally organized under the leadership of the Yeşim Group Sports Club, concluded with its final matches on June 11. Held at the PFDD Şükrü Şankaya Football School Facilities, the tournament saw the Düz Boya team claim the championship title for the third consecutive year after defeating Konfeksiyon Makina Bakım in a penalty shootout. Konfeksiyon Makina Bakım finished as runners-up, while Güvenlik Spor secured third place.
Among the 12 participating teams, Come Back was awarded the Fair Play Team title, while Ahmet Alkan was named Top Scorer and Serkan Keskin received the Best Goalkeeper award. Speaking at the trophy ceremony following the final match, Yeşim Group CEO Şenol Şankaya emphasized that the tournament has become an important tradition that strengthens solidarity, team spirit, and friendship among employees. Plaques of appreciation were also presented to the Sports Club, the organizing committee, the referees, and the tournament’s healthcare sponsor, Özel Hayat Hospital, in recognition of their contributions to the organization.
